How our content is made
Guides and lessons are researched against industry references, chiefly the Craft Yarn Council standards for yarn weights, hook sizes, head measurements and abbreviations. Where sources disagree, or where no standard exists, we say so in the article rather than picking one and presenting it as settled.
Calculator formulas are written as plain functions, published in full on each tool page, and covered by an automated test suite that runs on every build. That suite checks worked examples, boundary values and invalid input, so a formula cannot quietly drift.
AI is used as an optional assistant inside specific tools, never to produce the calculator results or the articles. Our AI content policy explains exactly where it is and is not used. If you spot an error, our corrections policy explains how to report it.
